Our civil engineering team is proud to have been involved in the design and development of the new Transport Hub at Auckland Airport, aimed at improving journeys for all travellers. The hub significantly expands the drop-off and pick-up areas at the international terminal, offering over 320 metres of undercover space for cars, buses, taxis, and rideshare vehicles, stream lining access and enhancing the overall travel experience.

Key features of the hub include:

  • Enhanced drop-off and pick-up areas, relocated to the ground floor of the Transport Hub for easier and faster access to the terminal.
  • P60 short-term parking closest to the international terminal, accessible via licence plate recognition, with payment options available inside the hub or via payWave at the exit.
  • P180 short-stay parking, accessed via Tom Pearce Drive, with automated entry and exit based on licence plate recognition, ensuring quick and hassle-free parking.
  • Dedicated lanes for public, valet, and commercial traffic, allowing smoother traffic flow and reducing congestion around the terminal.

Our team handled all stages of the project, from concept design to detailed design, including construction monitoring and final handover. This project showcases our expertise in delivering complex transport infrastructure, supporting Auckland Airport's commitment to providing a seamless and efficient experience for travellers.
